Best Part of Your Day?! January 1, 2011

So with each new year I like to pick a theme for the year. I pick the theme for myself but also for my team at work. I started this process a couple of years ago. The first theme was Gratitude. I made a commitment to practice gratitude everyday. For 2010 I decided to build on that theme by continuing to live with gratitude but also to Practice 365 Days of Giving. For 2011, my goal is to continue to build on both of those themes by picking out "The Best Part of Your Day". This will keep my team and me in a positive, grateful and giving spirit!

December 31, Day 365

Day 365 giving~

Today marks the 365th day of giving. What an adventure this has been! I've learned that giving is extremely powerful! Powerful for the receiver but perhaps more powerful to me, the giver. Giving to those in need is one of the most rewarding aspects of the giving process. For me, the most valuable gift has been the gift of time with others-both people and animals. Time devoted to sharing stories and laughter, listening, and time spent providing comfort and concern is the most beautiful gift to both the giver and receiver. Ultimately, the gift of love is the single most important gift.

I have been blessed to know love and I have been blessed to share love. I am so grateful!

This week's giving has been sharing time with Rob and the Vogt family as well as picking up gifts for friends and family back at home.

This weeks giving has included photo books and calendars to my team at work, a Shouka painting to friends, Christmas cards and warm wishes to family and friends and sharing time and laughter with Rob and new friends.
