Days 308-325 giving~
These last couple of weeks have been filled with the best qualities that we have to offer each other~
our time, laughter, support and love.
I spent time with my best friends in Hawaii and it was there, with them, that I learned my dad had passed away. They provided support, love and laughter. My sister, brother and I have shared laughter and stories of some of the absurdities that surround the loss of a loved one. Rob sat by my side wiping away my tears, holding my hand, listening to me reminisce and sharing laughter. Through Facebook friends and family from my lifetime have reached out through notes, phone calls, and posts to offer encouraging words, prayers and long distance hugs. And today, as I walked into the sanctuary of my job, the love and compassion from my co-worker friends was overwhelming.
The giving that my dad gave me was the most wonderful gift a parent can give to their child~unconditional love. My dad cherished me. And I cherished him.
Although I am sad, I have experienced the very best of what people have to offer each other. I am filled with gratitude!
